Marty Metro is the Founder and CEO of UsedCardboardBoxes.com (UCB), a venture-funded, earth-friendly company tackling the gratuitous $120 billion worth of cardboard boxes produced around the world each year... most of which are used once, and just thrown away. Metro developed the "Rescue, Resell, Recycle" model, built its first prototype in Los Angeles and led UCB's expansion across the US and into Canada. A former "Big 6" consultant, Metro is a passionate eco-entrepreneur with over fourteen years experience in enterprise technology, supply chain consulting and business development.

UCB works with large manufacturers, distributors, retailers and even new box makers to "rescue" their quality used boxes and any misprints, overruns and/or customer returns. The company then inspects, sorts and inventories these boxes to be resold via their websites to other companies and/or consumers, at deep discounts. Through their three websites (UsedCardboardBoxes.com for low-cost moving kits delivered to any US residence in 1-2 days; UsedShippingBoxes.com for commercial orders in truckload quantities; and FreeCardboardBoxes.com for free local exchanges), UCB is revolutionizing the way Americans view the used cardboard box. After all, you don't have to cut down a tree, to make a used cardboard box!

Prior to founding UCB, Metro held a number of executive positions with leading technology and consulting firms. Metro oversaw sales and operations worldwide, as VP of The EDCO Group, an enterprise technology consulting firm. As a Global Project Manager for AT&T Solutions, he was responsible for large-scale business process improvements across the three divisions of this international organization. Metro began his career in management consulting with Andersen Consulting, where he worked with Fortune 500 clients to implement enterprise technologies and manage the large-scale organizational changes that inevitably ran parallel.

After over a decade of providing technology solutions to major corporations, Metro now applies the same best practices and state-of-the-art technologies to UCB and other companies who have similar values. Metro enjoys sharing his knowledge and insights through advising, consulting and public speaking, whenever possible.

Metro holds an MBA from the University of Arizona, with concentrations in Information Systems and Management. Prior to graduate studies, Metro graduated Cum Laude from the University of Maryland. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife Tracy, a TV Host, and their rescued Italian Greyhound "dogger" named Sasekele.
