Jim Maguire graduated from Illinois State University with degrees in Computer Science and Economics. His first career began at the US Defense Department, both near Washington and overseas. He later managed the quality assurance of large projects for US and foreign organizations, living and working in the US, Europe and the Far East. His last consulting assignment was in Germany, where he saw how well Europeans were embracing renewable energy. Jim came home to the US, started a family, and founded WindCurrent in 2002. He and his wife Reet live in Pikesville and have two boys, Joshua and Jacob.
